(AN ADVANCED LISTENING LESSON)

In the last lesson, we started to look at the issue of ‘The Working Poor’, with a particular emphasis on the vocabulary we use to talk about money and, well, the lack of money.

This lesson picks up where the last left off, so if you haven’t had a look at that lesson then, consider checking it out here.

This week’s lesson is mainly based on a TED Talk by Mia Birdsong: The story we tell about poverty isn’t true.
