(AN ADVANCED READING LESSON)

Last week, large parts of New South Wales, my state here in Australia, saw terrible flooding, which affected homes and businesses. As we all know, natural disasters like this are increasing in regularity and severity. 

This week’s lesson is based on an article I read this week on The Conversation website about the need to change both how and where we build houses to adapt to the changing climate.
